What Is Bariatrics?
Bariatrics or obesity is one of the fastest growing problems facing the United States today. Generally the term bariatrics refers to patients of weights greater than 250 lbs or with a B.M.I. (Body Mass Index) of 38 or greater (B.M.I. is calculated by dividing patient’s weight by the patient’s height squared).
